Q & A

What is RFID?

RFID (radio frequency identification: radio frequency identification) is a non-contact automatic identification technology, it through radio frequency signal automatically identify target objects and access to relevant data, identify work without manual intervention, as a wireless version of the barcode, RFID technology has a bar code does not have waterproof, antimagnetic, high temperature resistant, long service life, reading distance, data can be encrypted on the label and change the information stored in the data storage capacity bigger, freely, etc, its application will bring revolutionary change to retail, logistics and other industries. Is a communication technology that can identify specific targets by radio signals and read and write related data without establishing mechanical or optical contact between the identification system and specific targets.

Does RFID technology belong to intelligent hardware?

RFID technology is the front-end of data collection in the field of Internet of things, including RFID electronic tags, RFID readers, RFID handheld terminals, etc

What is the maximum operating range of passive RFID now?

The maximum open space is probably about 25 meters, but requires a 12db high-gain antenna and a high-power reader.

Why the higher the frequency of RFID, the farther the action distance?

The propagation speed of RFID electromagnetic wave in the same medium is the same.
So the higher the frequency the shorter the wavelength and the wavelength is inversely proportional to the energy.
In other words, the higher the frequency, the higher the capacity of the carrier and therefore the greater the distance of energy transmission.
Now there\'s another one where the low frequency is 125K and the high frequency is 13.56MHz which is the ability to cut the magnetic field lines and the ultra-high frequency is 902-928MHz which is the way to send
electromagnetic waves back so the ultra-high frequency is much further away.

Why is rfid not used?

RFID has been applied on a large scale for a long time.
Second generation id CARDS are RFID technology.

How to use RFID reader?

The RFID reader can be connected to the user\'s PC, used as a separate RFID reader, or used as part of the system, embedded in the user\'s system. Once the RFID reader is connected to the user\'s PC, the user can test the

system in use and operate on the card.
First we need to turn off the power to the computer and unplug the keyboard. Then we connect the interface of the keyboard to the socket corresponding to our RFID reader.
Since the power supply of the RFID reader directly USES the computer keyboard, if the plug does not match, we can add a certain power supply to the module of the RFID reader. After the cable of RFID reader is added into the

keyboard socket of the user\'s PC, the connection of RS232 port is also needed.
RFID communication cables and read and write modules need to be connected, and RFID antenna and RFID modules connected.
Above the connection after we open the PC, and then the RFID system disk copy a copy to the PC, after the installation, and then run the RFID reader test procedures, to see whether the command can be executed normally. The

RFID reader and the user\'s PC are installed and ready to use.
RFID reader is through the antenna and electronic tags for communication, so you can achieve the memory of data and tags for reading and writing operations.

Can passive RFID tags be recycled?

If the RFID tag has read-write memory, you can use the software that comes with the reader to write data to the tag. If you need to write more than one tag, you can use third-party software for writing more than one tag.

The electronic product code (EPC) standard for passive uhf RFID tags allows a 16-bit \"word\" to be written in chip memory. The Block Write command allows more than 16 bits of words to be written, but requires that both the

label and the reader support Block Write. It can also be used to overwrite existing data and Write new data, but not for locked labels.
Passive labels can be reused if they are built into plastic or other protective materials. If the passive RFID tag is forced to be removed from the object, the connection between the chip and the antenna is likely to be

damaged, thus making the tag invalid. And the label can\'t be stuck anywhere else, but if the label is wrapped in plastic, it can be used in the supply chain and placed on other objects through plastic rings. In addition,

durable tags such as laundry tags can be used, which can be reused, similar to electronic anti-theft tags.
Recycling tags is difficult to manage because you need to make sure that after you remove the tags, the serial Numbers are no longer associated with the item and are associated with the new tracker. This may not seem too

difficult, but it can be tricky if the tags are used on hundreds or thousands of different items. Therefore, to ensure that each label is associated with the correct item each time, appropriate procedures and management

should be established.
